Dear Parents,
We are very busy getting ready
for Passover.
Passover:
This week, we started learning
about “Pesach” (Passover) from the Tal-Am work book. We were very busy
continuing making our own Haggadadot. Each of us will bring one home before
Pesach.
We learned the four names for
Passover as well as the names of the four sons mentioned in the Haggadah.
We also learned that the four cups of wine we drink at the Seder stand for the
four different languages for redemption. Of course, there is still a lot to
learn! We will be spending a lot of time over the next week learning all the
laws and customs surrounding the Seder night and Pesach.
Cursive Hebrew letters:
We are continuing to learn how to write
cursive Hebrew letters. The students focused on forming the letters correctly
and reading words written in cursive script. This week, we reviewed the letters
up to “ע”. We learned that there are 5 letters that
do not start from the top and one of them is “ט”.
Ariot:
This week Ariot is going to Sigal’s home.
“My library” הַסִפְרִיָה שֶלִי "
This week’s story is called: “לילה טוֹב בִּינָה וְדֹב” (Good
night Bina and Dov).
This story is a great exercise for this week
unit in “Shalom” workbook.
Please encourage your child to read it aloud
to you over the weekend. It is a great way to practice all the vocabulary we
have learned.
Parashat Hashavua: Parashat :"תזריע"
This Friday we learned about – לשון הרע"“- l"ashon hara” . we learn to speak only nice thing about people.
Vocabulary words:
The Test will be on Wednesday.
The Hebrew vocabulary words for this week come from our unit on
