פרשת בראשית

Dear Parents,
I am very proud to introduce Ariot. Ariot is the “Lion” from the Tal-Am program.
Every Friday one of the 1st grade students will have the honor and pleasure to host Ariot for the weekend.
In the Ariot’s backpack you will find Ariot along with a binder.
Please take a picture of your child and Ariot together and help your child write about their experience spending time with Ariot during the weekend.
It can be in English, or English and Hebrew, or only Hebrew.
Ariot:
This week Ariot went to Noa’s home.
Ariot on the computer:
We went yesterday to the computer lab to learn how to put the Ariot disk in the computer and how to connect our head phones.
We are ready now and planning to start next week B”H to learn with Ariot on the computers.
”Shalom kitah Alef”
We read the story:”Shalom kitah Alef”-
in this story the kids were excited to discover the lion named Ariot!
“My library”-“ הַסִפְרִיָה שֶלִי "
Book of the week: ”Shalom kitah Alef”- Shalom from Kitah Alef
Hebrew:
This week during the Alef Bet unit we learned the names and  AH sounds of  the  letters א up to the letter “Zayin” (ז).
We reviewed the letter “ה” in front of a word and “ה” at the end of the word.
We also focused on “ו” as the word “and”.
Please ask your child to explain it to you.

Parashat Hashavua-Parashat Bereshit
This Friday you will find  in your child’s folder a Parasha sheet with pictures and a summary of what is in the Parasha.  Please look inside each picture for the Hebrew words your child wrote in the box.  The first graders learned about the creation.
During  our “Kabalat Shabbat”  I highlighted 2 things that we can learn from the creation to our life:
1.    G-D could create the world in one day but he didn’t –we learn from hereif we want to do something and get a better result we need to take our time and not rush through our work.
2.    G-D stopped at the end of every day to check his work – we need to also check our work at the end. For example, when we finish an answer for a test we need to go over it and check if it is correct.

Shabbat Shalom
