Dear Parents,
We are very busy getting ready
for Passover.
Passover:
We were very busy making our own
Haggadadot. Each of us will bring one home before Pesach.
We learned about the
"Ke'ara" (the seder plate) what is placed on it and why.
Of course, there is still a lot
to learn! We will be spending a lot of time over the next week learning all the
laws and customs surrounding the Seder night and Pesach.
Cursive Hebrew letters:
We almost finished to learn how
to write cursive Hebrew letters. The students focused on forming the letters
correctly and reading words written in cursive script. We learned that there
are 5 letters that do not start from the top.
Ariot:
This week Ariot is going to Yonah’s home.
“My library” הַסִפְרִיָה שֶלִי "
This week’s story is calledטוב בבית ": ” (It
is good at home).
This story is a great exercise
for this week unit in “Shalom” workbook.
Please encourage your child to
read it aloud to you over the weekend. It is a great way to practice all the
vocabulary we have learned.
Parashat Hashavua:
This Friday you will find in your
child’s folder a picture page with a summary of the Korbanot. We learned that
the Jews brought korbanot because the process of bringing a korban helped them
become close to hashem.
